MSR Mutha Hubba 3-Person Backpacking Tent
Customer Review: 2006 Backpacks Editor's Choice
This is the perfect, light-weight backpacking tent for those who care about weight and performance. This tent is not cheap, but it's not overpriced. It has every small detail you could hope for...and the weight and foot print are perfect for 2 or 3 folks. I know this tent won the 2006 Backpacker's Magazine Editor's Choice Award. By the way, this is a my favorite magazine. My favorite things about the tent: 1) The weight. It's as light as i could wish (under 7 lbs). 2) two entrances are great. they include a "no-drip" entry which really keeps folks dry inside. Lastly,...i also have used the tarp on its own. This is my favorite tent out there. May not buy another tent for 5 years.
A road trip through Minnesota is all about exploring the waterways. Minnesota RV lodgings are excellent and provide you with plenty of locations to stop and take in the scenery.
Minnesota is known as the home of 10,000 lakes, and it is pretty easy to see why. Sprinkled among the many forests and rivers in this state are thousands of small freshwater lakes, perfect for fishing and enjoying water activities. Mountains and forests are also big draws here, with state parks being filled with places to hike and rock climb. The northern section of the state is home to wilderness areas and parks, while in the south big cities like Minneapolis and St. Paul are a draw for people who enjoy the bustle of urban life. Whichever section of the state you choose to visit, Minnesota RV lodgings are a great way to spend your nights in this state.
The northwest portion of Minnesota is also known as the Land of the Dancing Sky, and includes Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau counties. This area is home to much of the state's outdoor recreation areas; Old Mill State Park, Hayes State Park, Lake Bronson State Park and Red River Recreational Area State Park are all located in this part of Minnesota. Some of these state parks do allow some camping, but most are restricted to primitive camping, meaning tents only and no RV hook ups. However, there are plenty of northwestern Minnesota RV lodgings that are perfect for stays in this area.
One such lodging is the A-J Acres Lodging, located in Clearwater, Minnesota. With 150 acres of property, including woods, flowering areas, lakes and trails, you can definitely enjoy the beauty of Minnesota while staying here. The lodging offers an ideal setting for swimming, with a gradual sloping sandy beach and a small lake area, as well as spots on the two lakes here available for fishing (with a fish cleaning house) and boating. The convenience store here offers many different necessities, from food and camping supplies to live bait and ice.
The playground area at A-J Acres Lodging offers a lot for the children in your group, with all of the standard equipment as well as a petting zoo that includes small animals for the children to pet and feed. While staying at one of the 200 hook up sites here at the park, you can also enjoy the group recreation areas, hot showers and clean toilets and a laundry facility. All of the hook ups here offer electric, water and dump site availability with 50 of the sites being only available on a seasonal basis.
Enjoying the beauty of Minnesota couldn't be easier just hop in your RV (or rent one!) and enjoy the great outdoors of this northern state.
